Leader of the Future Directions in Business Valuation Board (FDiBVB)

The Leader of the Future Directions in Business Valuation Board (FDiBVB) plays a crucial role in guiding the Board’s efforts to address emerging challenges and opportunities within the business valuation profession.
Appointed by BVIUK’s Executive Management (EM) for a two-year term, the Leader oversees the Board’s activities, ensuring they align with the organisation’s broader vision and objectives.

As a key figure within BVIUK’s governance structure, the Leader is responsible for directing the Board’s work on forward-looking initiatives and fostering innovation across the valuation community. This includes supervising the activities of Policy Councils, which focus on critical emerging topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues, ensuring their contributions support the Board’s mission.

The Leader works closely with Board members and the Executive Management to provide expert insights and develop strategic recommendations that help BVIUK Members and the wider valuation community navigate a rapidly evolving profession.
By facilitating collaboration, driving productive discussions, and encouraging innovative thinking, the Leader ensures the Board’s efforts are impactful and contribute to BVIUK’s role as a global leader in business valuation.

The Leader is also tasked with maintaining transparency and accountability by providing regular updates to the Executive Management on the Board’s progress and initiatives. Additionally, the Leader prepares an annual report on the Board’s achievements and key contributions, which is published in BVIUK’s journal, The Valuer. This report serves as a platform to share the Board’s insights with BVIUK Members and the global valuation community.

This position requires visionary leadership, strong strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to shaping the future of the business valuation profession. The Leader’s work is integral to fostering innovation, adaptability, and collaboration within the valuation community.

Any work produced by BVIUK Board or Policy Council Members as part of their assignments during their term shall remain the intellectual property of BVIUK, with BVIUK retaining all rights to its use, reproduction, and distribution for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
